The phrase "time management" is a bit misleading—you can't actually control time itself. What you can do is manage the events in your life in relation to time. Every day, you're given the same 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds—no more, no less.

The difference lies in how you use that time, which depends on skills like self-analysis, planning, evaluation, and self-control. Like money, time is a valuable and finite resource that must be safeguarded, spent wisely, and budgeted thoughtfully.
